Option 1: Classroom to Campus: Teaching for College Success

Syllabi galore filled with hundreds of pages to read and semester long projects, sharing a room, pulling all-nighters, meeting new friends and navigating bad food… how do we as educators prepare student for the full college experience? Using both research based strategies and over 20 years of experience, Erin Farrow guides educators through an interactive workshop to assist in preparing and supporting students of all backgrounds and abilities for success at the higher education level. Various skills and strategies are presented to encourage students own learning in various topics including metacognition, self-advocacy, time management and study strategies to name a few. Educators will leave feeling equipped with new and exciting ways to engage students in their preparation for higher education. QandA discussion will follow with the opportunity to share experiences.

Option 2: The Neurodivergent Learner: Tips and Tricks for Course Engagement​

Access to higher education for students with disabilities is increasing, offering opportunities to students that were once inaccessible. Higher education institutions are now tasked with adapting teaching styles to support course engagement for diverse learners. Through the use of Universal Design, understanding of various disabilities and offering compassionate expectations, neurodivergent learners can and will find success in higher education institutions. This workshop focuses on strategies that have been proven beneficial to a variety of learning styles. QandA discussion will follow with the opportunity to share experiences.

​I offer external program reviews for high schools and colleges seeking to strengthen the ability to parepare students for college. These reviews provide an objective assessment of existing programs, policies, and support structures, with a focus on college readiness, equity, and student success. Institutions receive clear, actionable recommendations to improve advising, curriculum alignment, student supports, and outcomes—helping ensure students are well prepared to transition confidently and successfully into higher education.
